I have always wanted a baby that loves to play with his toes. Kaden and Clover both had no interest in their feet whatsoever.. Finally, I have been blessed! Holston can't get enough of his feet!
For the love of the feet!
Thursday, December 31, 2009My Dear Friend Susan is Missing...
Thursday, December 10, 2009Susan is one of those people that you want to have in your life. She is so giving, and always there to listen. I have known this wonderful girl for almost six years when I started working with her at Fidelity Investments. We studied for our licenses together, we grew as friends, and we were always there for each other through our pregnancies, and birth of our children. I would do anything for her, and she has already done so much for me. She loves her kids more than anything in this world, and I want her to come home safe and sound to her kids. I recently took pictures of her with her family as you can see above.
If you have seen Susan anywhere or have any information to her where abouts please contact the West Valley Police Department at: 801-840-4000
If you can, copy the attatched flier by clicking on the image, then save it and you can print and distribute this flyer:

Remember when?
Tuesday, September 22, 2009I was just sitting here at work, and thinking about when Kaden was Two months old, like Holston is now.. It was a very interesting, exciting, and hard time in our lives. I don't know how to pin it down to one emotion or word. I had been laid off my job in San Diego at Cingular Wireless.. I had a brand new baby, and was not anywhere near ready to look for a new job, it was time to move back Home to Utah. We were so sad to leave the friends we were leaving behind.. the family we had "made" in San Diego. At the same time we were also looking forward to bringing Kaden home to our family, and giving him the gift of, Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents. I can't believe how much has changed in almost 7 years, we were like Kids! Ok.. we are still like kids.. but older looking.. and now we have 3 kids of our own, not just 1. Here is a Picture of us shortly after we moved back:
Wow.. looking at this picture I still can't get over how much Kaden looks like his new brother Holston. No wonder these memories have been flooding back! Here is a picture of Holston this evening..

Going for a ride...
For Holston's 2 month pictures I wanted to try something new, that I haven't seen before. I wanted it to be something that was fun, creative, and a little bit of something that our family enjoy's. I was watching the kids the other day play outside on the skateboards, and there it was! I used to love riding my board around town as a teenager, and so did Scott. I thought this was the perfect little photo shoot for our sweet little boy! Holston seemed to really enjoy it too! When ever he got a little fussy durring the session, I would hold on to him and roll him back and forth on the floor. He instantly calmed down and started cooing.

My Review of Sassy Travel Swing - Zanzibar
Saturday, September 5, 2009The Zanzibar Travel Swing is a great way to keep baby comfortable and content while out. With three speeds, an automatic shut off timer (15, 30 and 60 minutes) and three different melodies/two sounds mom can ensure baby is entertained. The toy bar contains detachable and interchangeable toys givi...
I wish I knew before I bought the swing
Pros: Easy to Clean, Holds Baby's Attention, Easy to Assemble, Lightweight
Cons: Easily Outgrown, Unstable
Best Uses: Infants
Describe Yourself: Doula, Parent of Two or More Children, Childbirth educator
I registered for this product and this was given to me at my baby shower! I was so excited to have a small lightweight compact swing, easy to move from room to room, and not have another huge piece of baby equipment to store. My cousin was visiting us one day right before our baby arrived, and she had her 3 month old with her, he got a little fussy, and I pulled out the swing, I couldn't wait to see it in action! Well the swing could not hold him up?! He kept falling over, so we rolled up a blanket and put it around and under the head support and that seemed to mostly do the trick.
Still I held on to this "cute" little swing, with the impression that it just might be different with my child... and it was... My son is only 7 weeks old, not even two months yet, and was enjoying himself on the swing today, with the blanket contraption around the head support, or he will also falls over. All of the sudden I look over and he is trying to sit up more in the swing, almost lean forward, before I could get to him, "bonk!" my child, and flipped forward in the seat and it caused him to bonk his head on the bar underneath the swing in front! If the weight is shifted to far forward, the seat almost folds in half and throws your baby forward!! My baby was strapped in but still he obviously can hang way over the front of swing enough to hit his head on the floor or bar in front. This is a huge warning, I have been trying to reach the manufacturer but they appear to be closed tonight, I will be calling tomorrow. It appears the previous review also had a simalar problem, I am supprised these haven't been recalled yet.

Kaden's Kindergarten Gradutation!
Friday, June 5, 2009
My boy is now a first grader?! It's hard to believe. He really did an amazing job in school this year and had a great time. He was actually really upset that there won't be any school this summer, and got as many phone numbers as he could from his friends. He is now reading big paragraph books, and has amazed me in his reading. He is spelling words out on his own, and doing wonderful at writing sentences. Math was his most favorite subject this year, and he has really impressed his teacher, as well as some of the first grade volunteers. It will be nice to have him home for the summer though, and he is now looking forward to when his brother decides to come!

Kaden Loses his first tooth!
Thursday, May 21, 2009
Kaden lost his first tooth tonight, and before the tooth Ferry came and swept that little baby tooth away, we captured the moment.. I can't believe he lost his first tooth! He is growing up so fast, and, even though he was quite nervous about it, he was very brave! I love that sweet boy of mine.

The swan that wanted to eat my leg!
Tuesday, April 7, 2009
So we took the kids to the park today to take some outdoor easter pictures, and Kaden dropped one of his plastic easter eggs in the pond... So while attempting to fish the egg out, this black swan kept trying to eat my leg.. It definitely wasn't afraid of us, and I was able to get some great shots of it though while I was at it!
